For many of our trainees, life can be lonely. Friendships are hard to find, and it’s easy to feel left out of the world going on around you. At Step and Stone, they learn the skills they need for work. Just as importantly, they find friends, laughter and a place where they matter.

Our funding model
Over the last 4 years, 71% of our income has come from trading our products and services. That keeps our bakery running, but it can’t stretch to everything that makes Step and Stone what it is. The other 29% comes from grants and donations, and it pays for the extra support, the social connection and the chance to welcome more people through our doors.
Our aim is to make Step and Stone sustainable, so that we can keep enhancing the lives of people with learning disabilities, creating futures of increased confidence, happiness and independence. Without grants and donations, we could’nt do that.
